Steampunk Fiction
Steampunk is a sub-genre of Science fiction. The late 1800’s and early 1900’s at the height of the industrial revolution is the era most often used by steampunk authors.

Steampunk novels are set in locations full of steam engines, machines, smog, dirt and grime. Dirigibles (airships) feature heavily in novels of this genre. The genre has been inspired by authors such as H.G. Wells, Mary Shelley and Jules Verne.
